I am sure you would join me in thanking God we live in America. We live in a land of freedom, a land where so many people have given so unselfishly to protect and preserve this land. Freedom is a wonderful blessing and it should never be taken for granted in our lives. There is another kind of freedom and it too came by way of sacrifice. God sacrificed His Only Begotten so we can experience the freedom that sets us free from sin (Romans 6:17-18). When you read through the Bible you become aware how Satan tries to imprison people with their sin. Therefore, it should not be difficult to conclude that the Evil One is still at work trying to bind our souls with sin individually, and in some ways even the soul of our great nation. God judged rebellious attitudes in the past and this should be a warning for any nation or people. There were nations that thought they were free but developed a perversion in their attitude toward God and demonstrated their independence. Pharaoh said it this way, “Who is the Lord that I should obey Him?” God has drawn an antiseptic circle around home, marriage, family and warns us of going beyond that circle. Judgment Day is coming (2 Corinthians. 5:10) and God wants to set you free from sin. He tells us now, “Today is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Clark Tatum
