About Us
With so many churches today what makes us different? Our goal at 14th and Main is to be the one church that Jesus built. We are Christians only, with no denominational affiliations, no manuals or creeds and no man-made doctrines to uphold. We strive to be guided by the commands, patterns, and examples set forth in the Bible (2 Timothy 1:13). In all things, we try to glorify God, imitate Jesus, speak the truth in love, stand firm against sin and to reach and teach lost souls. We hope that if you visit us you will find a group of Christians who love God and people, who comfort, edify, and show concern for one another and a place where the truth is never compromised but is taught with kindness and love.
So, how does one know if they belong to the church that Jesus built? We must look to the Bible for our answers. The New Testament provides the pattern for how the church is to be organized, how it is to worship, and the doctrine it is to teach. If a church differs from what the Bible says it cannot be Christ's church you read about in the New Testament. To learn more about the Lord's church please see the "What We Believe" page and to learn more about how we worship please see the "Our Worship" page. If we can help answer any questions as to why we do what we do please let us know. We would be more than happy to answer them.
